Quick Start Guide

Securing your watch collection with Token Guard is a seamless process designed for the modern collector. Follow these four steps to transform your physical timepiece into a blockchain-verified digital asset.

/Step 1: Create Your Account

The first step is to join the Token Guard ecosystem. No blockchain skills are required.

  • Visit the Sign Up page.
  • Complete the registration with your email and a secure password.
  • (Optional) Connect a wallet to take full custody of your digital certificates (MetaMask, Rabby, Trust Wallet, etc.).

/Step 2: Add Your Watch to Your Collection

Once logged in, navigate to your Dashboard to register your timepiece.

  • Go to Watches and click "New Watch".
  • Enter the essential details: Brand, Model, Serial Number, and Year of production.
  • Upload high-quality photos of the dial and key details. Photos are used for visual documentation, not as a standalone certification method.

/Step 3: Request Expert Certification

After adding your watch, you can request a formal validation to receive your Digital Product Passport.

  • On the watch detail page, click "Request Certification".
  • Provide any additional documentation (scans of original papers, service receipts).
  • Submit your request for review by our network of horological experts. The MVP standard requires physical verification and a brand match against official archives.

Expert Pricing (MVP): 50 CHF without papers, 80 CHF with papers. This is in line with benchmarks from WatchCertificate, Chrono24 services, and independent watchmakers.

/Step 4: Receive & Share Your Digital Passport

Once our experts confirm the authenticity of your watch:

  • A unique Digital Product Passport (DPP) is minted as an NFT on the Scroll L2 blockchain.
  • Your watch status will update to "Validated".
  • You will receive a unique, public verification URL and QR code that you can share with potential buyers or insurance providers.
